What’s your favourite colour?  I’m a big fan of the colour orange – it has a twist of fun and a slice of enjoyment and describes how I feel about what I do.  I love the fact I was once described as ‘the colour ninja’!  The way I like to work is to combine visual aesthetics and design function with my expertise in the field of Applied Colour Psychology.

I began as a freelance interior decorator and paint effects specialist when, inspired by my clients’ colour choices, I decided to learn more in-depth about the subject of colour.  I’ve now been working in the interior decorating and design world for more than twenty years, providing colour advice and educating individuals and businesses on the use of colour in design and the psychology of colour.

As well as working for many lovely clients, I’m lucky to have been a guest on UKTV Style’s interior decorating programme ‘Real Rooms’ and BBC Radio, and have also written articles and featured in many newspapers, magazines and online publications.

What’s your favourite colour? It has to be burgundy. I believe there can be light in darker tones.

My expertise in design comes from a creative career path, I started my journey as an Advertising Designer before moving on to lecturing in Graphic Design at universities, this gave me the ability to see colours and shapes differently. I was then scouted by an Interior Design firm within the hospitality & leisure industry where I found my niche. After spending 6 years completing projects from cruise ships to hotels, restaurants to high-end residential properties, it became time to launch my own studio specialising in everything interior.

The way I select colour is by taking in the environment around me, whether it’s fabrics & fixings or existing tones & textures, there’s a hidden colour pallete in everything it just takes a certain eye to see it.

What’s your favourite colour?  I am not scared of color, I like bold colors because I live in Miami, but I can also adjust to a more conservative enjoyment.!!!

I am an Interior Designer based in South Florida. I have more than 10 years experience in space planning/layout, color selection, lighting and furniture. I have experience in residential design, hospitality, multifamily and fixer-upper interiors. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Interior Art at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. I have worked on recreating space planning in luxury retail spaces for the likes of Hugo Boss & Macy’s, designing Model Homes for well known USA national developers and lately working closely with the hospitality industry.

Interior design spaces are creations of color balance, contrast and most importantly uniqueness. Applied color in any space is the reflection of your soul, state of mind and a representation of your personality. My inspiration comes from the fashion design collection trends applying their tendencies into our spaces to create a remarkable space.

My magic happens when I let my colors be part of your storytelling by creating memories.

“My love for interior design started while I was studying Architecture at FIU. I understood that less is more and not to be afraid of colors. I have always had a passion for fashion and like to use big design houses as my inspiration for all my projects.” Carolina Posada

“What’s your favourite colour? I’m drawn to earthy colours that evoke colours in nature such as umbers, ochres and especially heritage greens – brought about by my love for Victorian architecture.

I’ve been an interior designer for 15 years having started out designing education environments where the use of colour played an important role in making learning spaces interesting and stimulating. This gave me the opportunity to use lots of bright colours to give spaces a sense of geography and uniqueness.

Over the years I have gained experience across numerous sectors of design from commercial offices, retail, hospitality and residential and love how the use of carefully selected colour can make a good design great.

The most fulfilling thing about being an interior designer is having the ability to help a client realise their ambitions for a space, being a good designer is about asking the right questions and finding a solution that not only meets your clients expectations but exceeds them.”
